

Bishop Sunderland, M.A., M.Div., is a teacher, spiritual counselor, and healer, practicing a hands-on technique called Huna Lomi (body/spirit) healing. She is available for private healing or counseling sessions. She is also a writer and teaches communication skills, both oral and written. Janet was raised on a farm in Marshall County, Kansas. The land and seasons framed her early spiritual foundation as much as her childhood religious training in a Protestant Bible church. Through the years, she also trained with a variety of spiritual teachers; Buddhist, Native American, Mexican, and Hawaiian. She received a BFA from Kansas State University, and an MA from St. John's College in Santa Fe.
She studied with Sophia Divinity School in Santa Fe, receiving an M.Div. and was ordained to the priesthood in 1997.
